Well, here we go ladies...I have a feeling this is going to be a challenging weekend for all of us. I want you all to know how very much I value each and every one of you and how much you mean to me and my sanity! I'm sure we will all have our times of melting down and our times of suppressing our feelings as much as possible for the sake of those around us. My sister came up last night and is staying until Sunday evening. We are going with my other sister and Mother to a tea at Mom's church this afternoon. This evening my neice will also come up and a friend is coming over so we will be busy with a house full of people and 4 small dogs. Tomorrow we will all go up to my Mom's church and attend with her and take her to lunch. It will be nice to be busy and with family but it will be hard to hold things together that long. I also have to find some time to be with my grandbabies because they still are the reason I hold things together and keep going. I usually have them here with me during the weekend and it's only Saturday morning and I'm having "grandkid withdrawal". lol I am missing Lance so much too. He is 800 miles away so I cannot even get a real hug from him. I will be going to visit him the end of June though, so that keeps me going. I keep replaying last years Mother's Day. My sister was up and we were getting ready to leave to go to church with my Mom. The phone rang and it was Clinton. That was unusual because he usually didn't call, just waited for me to show up at his house, as I always did. Anyway, he called to tell me that he really appreciated me, the fact that I was always there for him and always honest with him. He told me I was the only adult in his life that he completely trusted and that had never let him down. He had told me that before in general conversation but he actually made a phone call to tell me that. He just wasn't a "phone call" person. It meant so much to me then and it is something that I have that I hold on to with everything that I have in me. I miss him so much... I am sending you each a HUGE hug and will be praying for and thinking of each of you as we walk through this time together...love, hugs and prayers for peace and comfort...Lynn

Lynn-
How my heart goes out to you. What a beautiful memory about Clinton. He sounds like such a special man. I wish Lance could be with you but I am sure you know how much he and your grandchildren love you.
I am kind of numb about this weekend. I am going to take a picnic to the botanical garden as that is something my mom and I did 100s of times. I am still so confused that she has not \"come to me\" in any way. No sign of her and so I just feel so completely orphaned.
But like you, I know life must go on. I listen to the way that you love your grandchildren and Lance and I know you are a fantastic mother. So from me to you, Happy Mother\'s Day Lynn. And I know that Clinton meant every word he said to you and he is watching over you now the way you watched over him growing up.
Love and hugs on this Mother\'s day weekend-
Caroline
Lynn...what a gift that Clinton told you of his love and admiration for you...you will cherish that forever. I to had a great relationship with Alex and that brings me peace...but as you know it does not fill the longing for him and his delightful personality. I still find myself saying...how can he really be gone. I appreciate your friendship and I hope that your day tomorrow is as good as it can be...love and hugs to you...Karen
I\'m so glad you had that phone call last mother\'s day. What atreasure for you. My son , several years ago,on Christmas, wrote\"Life lessons I learned from Mom\", and \"Life lessons I learned from dad\". What a treasure for us now.I also think, how can it be true. This is a pain beyond my imagining. Thank you for your prayers and wishes fo yesterday. prayers does help. Love and hugs, Marilyn
You must be a wonderful mother for Clinton to have taken the time to call and tell you of his love and trust. I know you\'re a wonderful person. Sending you Love and hugs, Cyn
