It has been 23 weeks since my son was electrocuted, which stopped his heart, then fell from the ladder and hit his head, which crushed his skull. It happened on a Monday at 11:00 a.m. I cannot tell you how I loathe this day and time!!!! I keep thinking that it will get easier or at least less painful... but not so far. When you give birth to your baby and they lay him/her in your arms you just know that you will always do whatever it takes to protect the precious gift you have been given. I just hate it that I was not able to do that!!!!! I continue to do what needs to be done but sometimes I just don't see the point to any of it. Thank heavens for my grandkids, my family and my friends here.

I UNDERSTAND YOUR THOUGHTS, THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN, BUT THE SAD TRUTH IS THAT WE NOT ONLY GAVE BIRTH, BUT WE GAVE THEM THIER LIFE TO LIVE. A LOT OF THE TIME, NOT HOW WE WOULD HAVE CHOSEN FOR THEM! IT TOOK ME MANY, MANY LONG YEARS TO REALIZE THAT I COULD NOT \"MAKE\" ROBIN BE THE WAY I WANTED HER TO BE, NOT BY LOVING HER, NOT BY ANYTHING I SAID. IN THE END WE GIVE THEM \"THIER\" LIFE AND SUFFER THROUGH THE CHOICES THAT THEY MAKE. I HATE IT TOO, THAT I COULDN\'T PROTECT ROBIN, MOSTLY FROM HERSELF....
You DID do everything you could...it was beyond your control...there is not a one of us that wouldn\'t gladly trade our lives for theirs...you have done everything...Love and hugs...Karen
There were so many times that we pulled Greg back from dangerous times, and felt such relief when it was over. I never dreamed he would just die of \"natural\" causes. I understand your hating anniversaries of death because I\'m right there with you. Life wasn\'t meant to be this painful.
It has only been 15 weeks since my Weston died. (still have a hard time believing it) I understand how hard this is for you and all of us left behind. I share what strength I have with you and wish you the strength to keep going.
