I just attended the military funeral of Staff Sgt Ryan Fritsche who was killed in Afganistan the end of July.  They said something there that was written by "anonymous".  I don't know if these were the exact words but it was basically, "Don't be mad about what is gone, be happy about what happened".  Sometimes I find myself dwelling on the negative things that have resulted from Clinton's passing, on what might have been, on what we have all lost.  I am going to make an effort to concentrate on the wonderful 35 years that I had him in my life, the joy he brought me and the most precious gifts of my grandchildren that he gave to me.  I will also remember what he told me just 1 week before he died on Mother's day.  He told me that he loved me, that I was the best mother and that I was the only person in his life that didn't lie to him or let him down and always, no matter what, had his best interest at heart.  Somehow in all my mistakes and faults I managed to have a most wonderful relationship with both my boys and earned their never ending love and respect, just as they earned mine.  I continue to pray for strength for each of us and for us all to be able to pull deep within ourselves and rise above this horrible hand we have been dealt.  Let us always try to remember that our children would not want us to be devastated all the time, they would want us to try to get our lives back in order.  That is what we would want for them after all.  Thank you for all your encouragement and support.  It's so nice to have friends who understand the pain...Lynn

Knowing what the loss of a child can do to ones mind and body, you are able to keep the faith I only wish I had . Time for me is not the healer I had hoped for in fact it has caused shadows of doubt with the depth of my soul. God Bless, God help us
