Hello,
Ive had this diagnosis for almost five years but know that it was slowly creeping up over ten years before...I have been disabled from my career as my job was in medicine and very strenuous physically...I always that that fibromyalgia was a "trash can" diagnosis like most physicians...but now that I understand it I know better...

Hi everyone,
Hi Dreamweever,
Yes, I have a best friend who is my physician and also a physical medicine MD who is responsible for my diagnosis...she is published and very awesome...I am just grateful not to have chronic fatique...after having been \"disabled\" \"retired\" from my work/career/source of joy and income..., it took over 18 mos to get back up again...I have repetitive motion injuries, and trigger points along with the fibo...ugh...mind of matter works, sometimes pain meds, usually at night, celexa (anti-depressant)(thank god for that as it took away almost half of the pain)...exercise(which I had always done but now have learned how to modify it) and sitting on the floor in WalMart when I can\'t stand up another minute...my grandchildren sit right down there with me while other people just walk by and act like this woman isn\'t sitting on the floor..early on I rode around in one of their motorized carts but realized that no one moved and backing up was dangerous...I have finally learned how to accept what I have and that I have much courage to have reinvented myself...I find that friends and family have had a much much harder time with this...I\'ve had people tell me that if I drink pomagranite(bad spelling) that I would be cured...there are some holistic people who should just stop...but I did try it...ha...thanks for your support and hugs...Susan

Hello. I worked in medicine as well as an EMT. Hated it as an employee, ( I dont like political red tape ) so did it as a volunteer and loved it. I did once work a 15 hour shift, and felt like I was hit by an Amtrak train. The muscle spasms in my neck and back were so severe, you want to cry but you cannot. To smdruid, I am sorry you dealt with being on the floor at Wal Mart and no one having a clue. Wow. People are real good at being morons, lol. If you were on the floor and I walked by I would have assisted you. Anyway, hugs to you all and take care d
