People piss me off.
One of our drivers is a spoiled rotten brat! (actually 2. i'll save the other one for another time) When she first started working here she really needed the job and was gung hoe! She was impressive. Then she got divorced and she put herself more into the job. That was a little over a year ago. Then she meet Joe. That was a year ago. Joe has money. Lots of it. She still said she needed the money but she kept wanting to work less and less. Why work when you have a sugar daddy right?! 3 months after meeting they got engaged. They were married last month. Now she is down to a 3 day week. she has one on call day. She was called in on her on call day last week while the boss was on vacation. She got mad. Asked me if she could take that sunday off. I said no, just in case. She got mad again. That sunday morning she calls Steve, Day shift dispatcher/supervisor and tells him she is taking the night off and got Keith to work. She sends me a text telling me this and adds that she knows she can't text in so that is why she called the day shift supervisor. I send A text back and I tell her that while the boss is on vacation I am manager and I had said no. I informed her that I was going to write it up and put it in her file and to enjoy her day off. She got mad again! She forwards my text to the boss (on vacation) and says WTF!? Why? So he texted me. Tired of typing I called him. Told him that I didn't want to be put in a situation where I didn't have a driver. He said he'd talk to her.
Friday night I was dispatching from the office for the bike Jamboree and she comes in and does her paperwork, clocks out and as she is gathering her stuff she says, "I owe you an apology but I don't want to talk now" and left. The following monday the boss says she wants a sit down with the 3 of us. Told him I can't wait! That is tomarrow at 1.
I have been trying to avoid her like the plague. I was running out of excuses!
It's not a wonder why I'm always angry! My counslors agree that I should be! Glad they agree....
