Day 116 of no self injury!
Okay, so unemployment basically said "F*** YOU! WE ARE NOT GOING TO PAY AND GET THE F*** OUT!" Only just a little nicer and with paperwork.
So for $150/hour I went to see a lawyer. Who said to me "YEAH THEY SCREWED YOU OVER. NOW YOU NEED TO APPEAL THE APPEAL SO THAT YOU CAN GET AN APPEAL. GOOD LUCK AND LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT." She was nice but I feel like it was usless.
Now I have to write another appeal, to the hearing, then IF they decide to hear me out I get another hearing, only this one I don't go to. And if they say no again, I can take it to court.
First of all I get a decreased payment because it's been a year since I was laid off. Then I have to pay a lawyer. And if I want to go to court I have to pay to file, and appearence, and court fees. All of this is more than I would get. AND they screwed me over so I only qualify for 5 of the 16 months I have been unemployed.
This system is seriously F***ed up. Meant not to help anyone, and to give a bunch of people cake jobs for however long they can pull it off. They don't know what they are doing. They don't care who you are. They could care less if you get paid.
What the hell is the point of paying into it if you get nothing back? Why do we let this shit happen?
