Well it's me and I'm back...I wanted to write about how important it is to be supportive in your kids lives esp if they have a talent. I have to change that now b/c I just was phoned by my Ma telling me that my uncle was found dead in the backyard and no one knows how long he had been out there. It had to be for a while b/c rigamortis I know that not how you spell it but anyway that what happen.
I love my uncle alot, he had a bad drinking problem so bad that the Dr's said if he would stop it would kill him. my uncle could work your nerves but he was good at heart. I never disrespected him like some of the family members. I told him when I got my house I was going to move him in with me. Everytime I thought I was on my way to getting a house something came up about credit issues. However he would always tell me he was waiting. Sometimes he wouldn't have money b/c he would drink up the money he would get...but I understood and would give him money anyway even if he just hit my Ma up for some. I hated when the other nieces would talk ugly to him like cussing him out, I couldn't do that even though I'm grown I still have to respect my elders no matter how mad they make me sometimes. When he did have money he would always offer me some but I wouldn't take it. My uncle had deep hurt from his past. I was told by my G-ma that the reason he drinked the way he did was b/c one day he was at work and one of his friends that was coming in to work told him he seen a man going inside his house. He felt uneasy about it and took off and sneaked home to find his wife in bed with another man. As he confronted her (no physical abuse) she cussed him out for coming home and drew a gun on him. He walked up on her with the gun thinking she wouldn't shoot him and she shot him in the hand. They tussled over the gun and she was shot and died on the scene. He did go to jail until he went to court and they determined it was accidentally and he was finally released. My G-ma said from that day forward he drunked so bad and so much until it was unbelieveable. I remember as kids me and my cousins would have to go and gethim from the bars b/c he would try to make it home but fall out and hurt himself and also he would get rob so we would have to go and get him and bring him home. He still was a good person. One of the things that I admired so much that he done for me and my son was On my Baby Birthday I gave him a party. I told my uncle if he wanted to go I would come and get him. I came and picked my uncle up and you know what....He was sobber and stayed sobber threw out the whole party, the party lasted for 3 hrs.
On the way taking him home I stop at a store and gave him some money to get what he needed and wanted and he ask me too on top of that. He has done so many good things and I choose to remember him for that. I hate that he is gone but I'm happy he is finally FREE. I love you uncle Little Man.
Well til we meet again
always me.
