Yesterday I did a favor for my brother in law. He needed someone to pick him to pickup his semi truck. He called me a bit 10am. So I hot dresses and rushed out to pick him up around 10:30. This garage fixing his semi truck was located close to the casino. We went to the garage to check on his truck and was told the repairs not done yet. So he decided that he wants to ho to the casino. I was like why, I didn't bring ant money with me. He gave me $20 plus I had $5 on me. $25 altogether. I didn't have any money in my bank acct. It was already negative but I took out more money. By 2pm I lost about $300, luckily I got a food comp for $20, so I was able to eat, I didn't have any money to buy food. I kinda blame myself for this mess but I originally didn't want to go to the casino. I just wanted to help my brother in law. Around 2:30 ish my dad called telling me that my mom's not feeling good and needed for me to rush back home asap while I was waiting for my brother in law in the casino so I told him I have to go home its an emergency. He said he was going to walk to the garage but I didn't let him. I managed to dropped him off a store for truckers and he was able to walk a short distance to the garage. Feeling stupid for going to the casino, thinking I can win with $25, which I lost $300.

This is how these dang casinos get you. I also have withdrawn money when I did not have it. We seem to know the secrets such as the ATM will at least give me 100 even if it is not in my account. It is especially hard when your brother in law does not know about your addiction. I have hardly told anyone either. This happened and you can not change it so maybe think of a response you could have if you are every asked again to go to the casino. Move on and know today is a whole new day that we can get it right.
It is hard to have any strength until you get some abstinence built up. It became much easier after I had told most people I cared about about my compulsive gambling. The ones that also cared about me didn\'t try to sabotage my abstinence. Once they know, it is easier to stand your ground and say, \"no, I have too much too lose\". Therapy also helped to change that false belief I had of \"I can get ahead by gambling\". Hang in there, the desire to quit and knowing you are powerless over it are two BIG things you have going for you.
