happy new year

a little late but better late than never lol.  all's well in my world.  almost at the 7 year mark woop woop...things are going pretty easy right now with no bad cravings or regrets.  i wouldn't be where i am today if i hadn't gotten sober.  it's been quite a ride and learning experience so far. 
it used to really bother me being around drinking people and i really wanted to be drinking with them but now i really only rarely wish i was joining them.  i know i wont but that little demon can sneak up on you unexpectedly, that's why i'm so glad things are good at this moment.
i haven't been here in a very long time. life has gotten in the way fortunately.  my marriage is good, my relationship with my kids is awesome, i love them all to death.  i have my own business from spring to fall separate from our welding shop.  i never would have had that if i had stayed a drunk.  im so grateful. 
just had carpel tunnel surgery thurs so typing is difficult.  just wanted to drop in and catch up.
