A Good Day

Hello Community,
Today I visited my Personal Trainer.  She performed "measurements" on my arm movement and strength...And (Drum Roll)...My arm movements are back to normal.  I have above average strength in my arms/shoulder.  My posture has improved.  The shoulder pains have diminished.  So I am feeling really good about myself.
And it gets better...I have been dieting...no red meat, no sodas, no fried foods (except a trip to Popeye's about every two months or so).  I have been eating lots of fish, fruit, and vegetables.
Anyway after I left my PT I went to Macy's to buy 2 pair of "cargo shorts"... And (Another Drum Roll, Please) I have lost 2+ inches off my waistline.  Now I am even feeling better.
Days like this are very cool.
Fight PD!!!

Take care all,
Joe

Congratulations and a big hand in your accomplishments. Good news is always great to share and hear about. I wish I had the stamina to do that diet.

Have a great holiday weekend. Dan

Hiya Joe,

Than needs more of a fan fare than a drum roll - wow that\'s fantastic! It\'s great to hear someone doing well, gives us all a boost too.

I\'m with Dan though on the whole diet thing - no stamina, I do well and reward myself with something nice and if I\'m miserable, fed up, tired, upset I treat myself to something nice ...... I think that pretty much covers every scenario all ending in me eating something nice - it\'s a shame carrots don\'t taste like choclate, I\'d be right there with you (haha)

Keep it up Joe and take care.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for the kind words and support. I still have a \"diet vice\"...I have a vodka martini (very dry) with blue cheese stuffed olives every night. That is my little reward to myself.

We are in Dallas celebrating Mickie\'s father\'s 90th birthday The day after tomorrow we drive back to Chicago.

Take care,
Joe

Now that is a treat! - I am completely addicted to blue cheese, my favourite being St Flour Bleu D\'Auvergne, it\'s much stronger and creamier than say a Stilton, that some poppy seed crackers or really going beserk my favourite olive bread - I\'m in heaven. We all need a little treat Joe.

Enjoy the Birthday celebrations, I hope Mickie\'s Father has a wonderful day.
