That article is both true and not true. I know both from experience.
It's true that many HAVE to 'diagnose themselves' in order to ask the right questions from a thoughtful doctor (who is admittedly very hard to find).
What the article omitted was it depends on how well a person searches, reads and understands what they find 'on the Internet'.
Read all the comments. Some are very interesting, especially the one about giving 'references'.
