Updating my journal. Havne't been very social lately. Work has me spent every day and the weekends I haven't been going out much so I suppose I have been in a slight depression..but anyway I won't moan and groan because no one really wants to hear it anyway.  I've lost another 4 pounds since I wrote last. Yes finally breaking the 200 pound mark! A few people even noticed! This hasn't been at all easy. I now wear a pedometer and try and monitor the steps I take each day and am becoming aware why I am not loosing. If I go out to Walmart I find I can add about 3000-4000 steps and get closer to my goal of 10000 steps a day. It makes me aware of all the movements I am doing and how I can add a little at a time to make a difference. I basically have a miniscule breakfast, have lunch out with the girls and eat healthy, but hearty, then don't eat very much at night. I hope it continues to work. This weight must go. I will find a way! I have been struggling to make and keep *good* friends. I sometimes think something is wrong with me, but I know that I just haven't found a true friend that I can be my total self with. Some of the people I know seem to look at everyone under a microscope and if they don't measure up...they go off with their elite little bunch. Also ,so many people have their own cliques and family they don't really have room in their heart or life for more friends. I wonder sometimes if there is anyone in the world as lonely as I am. There MUST be! I would make a good friend and would love someone like me as a friend. Haha! That sounds a little narcissistic. I have read that people are not as social as they once were and that there are many that don't have the close friendships they would like. What a modern world we live in... huh? Well... I am rambling , but as always, it feels good to write it out. If there is anyone left to read this, thank you.  I hope everyone here has a wonderful week. Much love and hope going out to all of you.

I can relate to what you\'ve said about friends. I\'ve lost most of mine during my 20 year marriage. Now that I\'m single again I don\'t really know what to do because I can\'t work right now. I need to make friends, but the anxiety and depression make it really hard for me. I\'m afraid to be myself around most people and none of my family live nearby so other than my teenage daughters and their friends.. I am alone most of the time. Oh well.. I know I\'ve said too much, but I just wanted you to know that I read your journal and I understand how you feel. Hugs, Debbie
