Ahhh the holidays! Doncha just love them? Haha!
Without any family and husband, I am just hoping they pass soon. I will enjoy the days off and the time with my friends, but this year I am sort of in limbo. I have a few places to go, but it's nothing like Christmas's long ago with lots of family around and a warmth that I haven't felt in years.
I suppose I shouldn't compare my current life to what once was, but every commercial on TV and every show depicts Christmas with a whole bunch of family and friends. I have become that lonely single woman that people feel sorry for and invite over. Don't get me wrong, I am pleased that friends care, but it seems unreal to be this person I have become. Where did everyone go? Where do I fit in? Will I ever have a real family again? Ray is there waiting in the wings to have me join his family, but this hasn't happened yet and this holiday season is going to be rough no matter how you slice it.
I will be OK. The future looks rosy, but right now I am on my own and no one should be alone during the holidays.
Much love and happiness to all of you and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2008 is going to be much better!!

It makes no difference who your with, you still feel lonely. I had a christmas party last night and even though I know I have someone I felt sad and lonely. the worst part was coming home and having no one to tell about it. Just hold on to the thought that next christmas will be sooooo different.
Take care my friend and I wish you an unexpectedly Happy Christmas and a fantastic 2008 xxxxxx
I always worried about the holes in my socks untill I met the man with no feet. The time of life and living is short and in all reality it is one day at a time. May you have a serene, joyous, and en- richened Holiday that last throughout the year.
We are never truly alone, you close your eyes and see the reality of the blessings and gifts we have surrounding us... Believe me I walk the walk too.
