Today's weigh-in made me very happy. I lost 3 pounds! I had gained 3 recently and now they are back off. I am assuming the increased exercise is the reason why. I hope I can make daily exercise a part of my life now. In the past there is always something that makes me go back to old habits. I hope that doesn't happen again.

You see people like Oprah, who have everything at her disposal for keeping the weight off, yet she fluctuates all the time. All the women in my family have been overweight and have lost and gained many times.

I wonder sometimes if it's a lost cause or there is a key out there to be successful at keeping the weight off for good. There are soooooo many books, diets, pills, etc... that say they have the answer. I believe the answer is in willpower with a strong drive to do whatever it takes. Not surgery and pills. Eating very healthy foods, exercising daily and letting yourself have a treat once in a while so that you will not feel deprived.

Anyway... for all of you that are overweight and feeling bad about yourself, I am sending my love out to you. I accept you as you are! There are tons of us (no pun intended) and we should all love who we are!

Lots of love and new hope to everyone! smiley-laughing.gif

It\'s not a lost cause! It\'s all about portion control and healthful choices, and you are right, it\'s not about deprivation! I love pizza and chocolate (not together :>) so a diet without one or both of these would never work for me long term. Congrats on the loss!!!!

Hay 3 pounds that is fantastic, keep up the good work. I beleive you are correct the secret is not in pills or anything else but willpower and like you I have lost, gained, lost .... I always have to watch what I eat if not I can gain 10 -20 pounds in a year and the older I get the more difficult it is to lose the weigt but the easier it is to gain. But finally I don\'t worry so much about it, I am very comfortalbe the way I am, I can be thinner with flappier skin or a little bigger with tighter skin lol. So I try to see the positive in both situation.
But I know what you are going through, I lost 80 pounds 7 years ago and been working hard since then not to gain it all back so if I can do it so can you.
