I just got home from work. Long day! I actually like to be at work, which is weird, because I preferred to be at home before the breakup. At work there's no time to think, if you know what I mean.

He left a voice message on my answering machine to call him. He just wanted to check that I was alright. I called him, and he was very nice and, as he said, he was just checking to see I was alright. This soothed my spirit. So he still cares some. I'll take it. I know he won't come back to me, but it sure is comforting to hear something positive for a change. 

I hope this little gesture will help to bring a good night's sleep for this poor, worn out broken-hearted soul.
