The politeness is gone. There are no more smiles or laughter. A simple I love you is out of the question.
Doors open and close without such as a knock.
Phones ring all hours of the day and night hysterical screams come through loud and clear.
" Who is he?"" When can I go home" and finally the most painful question of all" who are you"
broken dishes thrown knives and unsafe behavior are the norm.
somehow Lost Keys and forgotten appointment don't seem that big of a deal anymore.
Losing someone you love usually means a final ceremony to say goodbye.
Alzheimer's means saying goodbye every day. Memories bodies and souls can form nothing new but the anger and, the panic

This is very well written, but very sad. I am so sorry you have had to deal with this for so long. I am glad to hear something from you and I hope, when you are up to it, that you will drop me a line.

Sweetheart, I so wish I could take some of your pain, even just for one night so you could get some REAL rest, I\'d so gladly give you a night if I only could.......... but know that my heart is with you in your pain and my prayers for you shall continue as long as I know you. I have watched so many loved ones walk this lonely valley that you are treading, and can only pray that like them, you will know you are never truly alone, and that you are very much loved & cherished. I would still love to chat with you any time you are able.
love & hugs,
carol xoxo

No one should have to go through this.........I\'m so sorry. I can\'t even imagine what it must be like to see your mother this way. All I can say is try to remember who she was, not who she is today. God bless you and your family.
