finally
Today I have finally put my fears to rest. I a.m. in no way eligible for a nursing facility. As long as someone will come to my home and see to my day to day care, I will live out my life in my own home. My siblings have suggested that perhaps it would be easier if I were in a 24-hour facility. But I ask easier on whom? Just because my mom has Alzheimer's and I have multiple disabilities do they think I have lost my entire mind? Let them go live in an unfamiliar environment without the animals or important stuff like art supplies and cable television why should I be punished for someone else's illness.

Very true my friend... Rest well in your own home. Mike:)
I understand how you feel.I like things to be familliar too, However, Life doesn\'t stay the same forever as much as we would like it to.When the time comes. You may want to look into assisted living or a home health care company who can come into your home daliy and take care of your needs. This will cost money however.Truth is your parents are ill and getting older and may not be able to care for you as they once did. You will probably need outside help in the future.
