General Update
Hey everyone I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what's new with me!!! The last I updated everyone I thought I was sick with a stomach bug turns out I am having a sweet baby in September. The past several weeks I have been on bed rest but thank god I am finally able to be back at work doing what I love and on light duty of course!!! I have a lot of exciting things going on in my life and I'm sorry I haven't been on here as much as I used to be. My sister and my niece came home from California so I have been spending a lot of time with them catching up on lost time. I have had to reschedule my eye surgery for sometime in mid October or November. It's been a crazy few months but thank the good lord everything is finally settling down and I can take some deep breaths again. I went to visit my granddaddy's grave on Friday 2-19-16 and had a nice long chat with him. It's hard to believe in July it will be 5 years since he left me to go home with the lord. It's a bittersweet feeling every time I go there and talk with him. I know he would be so happy to see how far I've come in the past 5 years. I finally finished college and got my dream job and the family I've always wanted. There truly isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him and miss him more than the day the lord called him home. I wanted to give everyone a tiny piece of advice because I learned the hard way on this: If your grandparents or parents are still alive go see them tell them you love them and cherish them while they are still here. Take them to lunch or to the park or anything that love to go do take them and enjoy the time you have. For 20 years I spent every weekend and every summer with my grandparents and although my grandmother is still alive I miss my granddaddy more than words can ever describe. I called him everyday I seen him all the time and when I became a teenager I thought I had plenty of time to still go and visit and call him and go do our favorite things and go to our special places. Everyone time is a precious thing and memories are the most amazing thing in the world. Go visit and laugh and spend time with the ones you love. I'd give anything for one more call and visit and one more trip to the duck pond which was our special place. I go to the duck pond a lot and I sit and smile and sometimes cry because those memories are all I have. If my life seems to be so busy I go there to calm me down and get back to normal ground. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!!
