Week 3
It is currently the beginning of week three of the semester. I feel okay. I am as ahead in my work as I can be. I am really trying to stay on top of things, because I know how much I need to excel this semester. The classes are very challenging, though. Far more challenging than last semster, but it's cool. I got this. At least I think I do. What I am chosing to believe. I felt myself being way more than I have ever felt. I missed an appointment with my mentor. I just forgot about it. That doesn't happen to me. I always remember those kinds of things. I mean that morning I even told myself about it to remind myself but I just forgot. I think the stress had a lot to do with that. it's making me very forgetful. I am going to try and find new ways to become less stressed that won't affect my momentum school wise. This semester I can tell I will be more alone than I have ever been in my life. I am alone at least 98% of the time. Like last semester no one continues to sit or talk with me and my roommate is at home in SA most of the time. She has a VERY relaxed schedule, so it's just me, myself, and I. I wanted to do a little something about that so I signed up to volunteer to be a mentor at a local school once a week. That should be a great learning experience. I have also gone back to listening to my old Christian mousic favorites. They have a way of making me see things in a more positive light. I am not always spiritual or religious but they keep me from losiing my faith altogether and what I need right now is to know someone is looking out for me when I physically have no one around me who I can talk to.
Health wise: I am starting to exercise again. I have been at the plateau in the 170s for a couple of months. I so desperately want to see the 160s, but the closest I have gotten is 171. I have also starting eating healthier. I cook now instead of just eating snack throughout the day and an unhealthy lunch and dinner. I can honestly say I feel a bit better. Sometimes I forget that I'm nearly 80lbs down, but when I do remember it makes me want to work harder to finally see that 140 I have dreamed about and is actually within my reach. Just 30lbs to go. Wow, I can't believe I can say that. So much better to say than 110 more pounds to go.
