Started a new job today.  I ride in the back of a mini-van with a bazillion $$$ worth of cell-phone equipment tracking cell tower performance.  (my "Monster Jobs" resume got me the interview!)  I use a couple of laptops to record the data (celldata bandwidth, throughput, dropped calls, etc.  Which gets used to adjust the tower.)  Then use a thumb drive to give it to a telecomunications engineer, who creates a report for the client  (which is a cell provider like Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&t, etc.)  I get an hourly wage plus overtime plus benifits, etc.  I got 11.5 hours on the first day!  The current client is looking to roll out some new cell technology in our neck of the woods and wants a comprehensive survey of their stuff before they do.Pretty cool, High Tech, $$$, etc.  Woo hoo!!!  :)))Hope ya all have a happy holiday!...more later.

I don\'t climb the towers, that takes a certification I don\'t wish to have. I collect performance data that the cell phone companies use to make adjustments to their network for better performance.

Also, the guy who fixes the transmitters and other electronics at the base of the towers, doesn\'t climb them either.
