Gonna go on extended bike ride (for us that is usually less than 20 miles) Our area has a bike/pedestrian path along the river for several miles. The bus system goes out in to the valley and has bike racks on the front of the buses. We pack a lunch, get on the bus and then ride the trail back home. It feels great, the scenery is awsome, the wildlife fun and the company great! We've both been working on being in the moment, feeling what we're feeling and learning how to communicate what we observe; instead of hiding our feelings, reacting to what is going on outside ourselves and assuming the other knows and understands whats going on.

Didn\'t take the bus (takes two with a transfer!) instead we rode about 5 miles out and had a picnic on the bank of the river. \"Our Spot\" is across the river from a municiple airport. Saw someone training in a small helicoptor. The water is still warm enough that there were skiers too. We put a crock-pot on with white beans and ham-hocks before we left and now they\'re mmmmmmmmmmm yummy!
Oh yeah. Made the beans with vegitable broth so I didn\'t have to guess on how much salt to add.
SOUNDS LIKE THE TWO OF YOU HAD A LOVELY TIME, NOTHING LIKE TAKING IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS, I TRY TO LIVE IN THE MOMENT AFTER ALL THAT IS REALLY ALL YOU HAVE. (OUR SPOT)--:) THAT IS NICE!!!!
OK I confess, we usually take the bus out to the Mall in the valley to ride back into town (about 17 mi one way) but the truth is that the trail head is right behind a Krispy Kreme donut shop! So, yeah, when we do that trip we time it to be at Krispy Kreme at the time they are giving out the free ones :))) The ride back into town goes by a small rapid that the ammature kyakers like to hit, that is where we pull off and have a lunch. But yeah those are great donuts.
