Been communicating with a guy in DS with the handle 'vietnam'   Poor dude is having computer issues and cannot read the journals of those in his friends list.  If anyone is interested I would like to suggest a couple of books about the Viet Nam war and the Cold War and how they coincided.  The first one is "Blind Mans Bluff" by Sontag.  This is the use of Fast Attack submarines during the cold war and a little about their use in Viet Nam.  (covers the Scorpion and Thresher incidents as well) The second is "The Ravens" (don't know the author) this is about the FACs or Forward Air Controllers used by the CIA in Viet Nam, Cambodia, and Laos.  Both are good reads and indeed eye opening.  Would like to hear from anyone who is/has read these.
