I was wondering if anyone has stopped taking mestinon because it wasn't helping.
That is the case for me. My doctor said it was up to me. He prescribed prednisone
Instead but I have yet to take that too(I don't feel comfortable with the long list of side effects).
So I guess my question is - is anyone living with MG without meds? And how are you coping?

Most have of us have to have additional help. I am have plasmapheresis and take immune suppressant tacrolimus--most on here take immuran or cellcept. I agree with you on the prednisone. I will use it as a last defense measure (i.e. in the hospital in crisis).
Are you antibody positive or MUSK positive?
