ugh!

Ugh! I had my doc appt today.  I asked him where I am supposed to go now that the neuros have said I have "nothing neurological" going on. He said they both recommended that I see the rheumatologist again.  WTF?  The rheumi said before that there was nothing that he could see wrong with me.  IDK what is up. I scheduled an appt for myself with another neuro. I want one that doesn't have an opinion already formed from reading another neuro's notes.  I set the appt up for myself and will take my MRI's up there. It has been over six months since my last MRI, so maybe something will show now.  The doc said that my vertigo is probably from a virus and it should only last 4-6 weeks. He said call him back in two weeks if it is still bothering me.
I did ask for a script for a shower chair and my B-12 injections. The over the counter B-12 was not getting the job done in my opinion.  I also asked for a renewal for my handicap placard as it expires this month.  He gladly did all of that.  I also got a letter from him for work regarding my ability to teach class.  There is so much walking involved in the teaching that it is getting too difficult. He gladly wrote the letter and I will give it to my employer tomorrow.  Now I can focus on my job and not the extra duties that I had originally volunteered to do and then work wouldn't let me out of it when it became a burden for me.
At any rate, now I wait for the doc to get me an appt with the rheumatologist.  I feel like I am on the doctor merry go round. They are all padding each other's pockets with me.

Sorry you are going through this. That is what I plan to do. I will give the lab results and the MRI that says that it is MS to the new doc, I do not want him to be swayed by the others opinion. I think you should get another neuro appointment. I wish you the best I will keep you in my prayers!

thank you. I have another neuro appt with a new doc in Sept. Of course, they take their time seeing someone. I see the rheumatologist on 8/10/11. They are very nice in that office. I have been to him before, but he never found anything. The neuros just don\'t want to deal with me...so they send me off to him. I think that my main neuro thought I was overstepping my bounds when I insisted on an LP and so she has been trying to get rid of me. No problem, I will find a new neuro and hopefully it is someone who tells me what they are looking for!
