MRI
Had my lumbar spine MRI today. Oddly enough I woke up with the tingle and off balance. Have a neuro appt tomorrow. Not really sure why I kept the scheduled appt after the MS specialist told me that there was "nothing neurological" wrong with me. I guess I like giving my money away to people. She wanted to know if I ever got the lumbar puncture that she wanted me to get. Nobody was willing to do it. She can if she insists.
I get the results from my MRI tomorrow. I am hoping that it shows something. I hate to think that all of this is happening for psychological reasons. I guess I can go to a shrink...
I took the morning off from work due to the MRI. I thought yesterday when I was feeling pretty good that I would take the morning and get my handicap placards and my cane. This morning I just wanted to sleep. I was exhausted and not feeling 100%. I was going to put it off for another day. I forced myself up because I knew I had an episode coming on and I might need the cane and the placard. Glad I did. I am using the cane. It gives me a lot more balance. I don't have to lean to the left and walk funny. I was pretty amazed at how it helps. I feel awkward with it still, but will get used to it I am sure.
My friend myoclonus is back too. I was worried that I would not be able to lie still during the MRI. I had a couple of moments but did ok with it. I do notice that the myoclonus starts in my lower spine when it decides to make me twitch.
I am not sure how to feel about all of this. I am praying for something to show on my MRI...it would seem the healthy outlook would be to pray for a clear MRI. I just want something to show to prove that I am not insane. Maybe I am insane for wanting something there... If nothing shows, I will just resign myself to letting my doc treat the myoclonus and go on with my life. I really don't know what else there would be to look at.
The lyme titer came back negative. Guess that is one more test out of the way. I don't really know what else to look for beyond that. I might have to just give in and write myself off as a medical mystery! LOL...what a concept!
