now what?
Saw the MS specialist today. I like her because she tells me what she thinks and keeps me informed of what she is looking for and she listens to me. Today, she told me that she doesn't think I fit into any neurological category. She said whatever it is that is affecting me is not neurological at all. She said my exam was normal, my MRI's are normal and there is no need for further testing. So, I sat there with a blank look on my face. While I do not want to have MS, I really want to know what is causing these symptoms. A diagnosis would be welcomed.
I went there today thinking so positive. I thought today she will diagnose me! Then she said my symptoms really do not fit with MS. She also said all the other tests she ran on me came back normal as well. I feel stumped...
I wish I could find a doctor like Dr. House from TV...lol. Do they even exist? I just feel like I hit a brick wall. Where do I turn from here? I need to ask my doc to run every test he can think of that involves a virus or something that can present like this.
I really am not sure how to go on...I guess I can go to another neuro...but I have been to two already. I am truly tired of blood tests and MRI's and explaining symptoms... I guess I will continue to limp around with foot drop and walk like I am drunk. Maybe even fall on occasion...Without a diagnosis, there is no treatment.
