Went shopping today - nothing exciting, just food shopping (no vodka unfortunately - oh, how I make myself laugh!!). Just surprised myself that I've been out of the house twice in two days...amazing!

Keep telling myself to get on my exercise bike and at least get rid of a couple of pounds before I go away next week. Not that the place will be full of people or anything, but they will remember the ever so slightly thinner me from the summer. How much do I weigh now, I hear you ask. It's not too tragic, so if you pick a number, treble it and add ten, you should be about there...

I'm looking forward to getting away (for about three weeks...yay!!) and celebrating Christmas and New Year - might even tie Chinese New Year in with it too! - that wasn't celebrated when I was ill...should be a good laugh. Spain, the country of large measures and cheap prices....can't wait! Will also be driving my car home - really have missed it! Passing by Arras on the way back to find the grave of my 2xGreat Uncle Ephraim Warner who died in the war in 1917 aged 23. I don't suppose anyone has ever been to see him, so it only seems right to do now I have the time.
