Went trekking upto Sheffield yesterday as planned for Sunday lunch. Was OK til we came off the motorway and then we got lost. And so did my friend. Big time. The directions from the website of the place are all wrong!! A complaint letter and a free trough seem to be the way ahead...

Anyhow, had a great day once we managed to meet up. Ate far too much (it's a carvery, who doesn't?!) and then tried to find another pub where we could just sit and have a drink. None whatsoever. So, we ended up in a Little Chef, drinking tea...

Journey home in the sleet was fab...heavy rain/sleet, spray off the roads, people with fog lights on (erm, the clue is in the name!!).

Slept all day today. Can't believe it. Two days of not doing much other than sitting in a car or restaurant and I'm absolutely exhausted. Still am!!

Finally got the sick note, although it's dated from 9th Jan. Why? Have had to wait a week for the doctor to sign a piece of paper, so I wasn't going to argue...
