Happy New Year!

I've decided to start and make a new year of doing new things! Yesterday I went down to another city to a Sacred Harp sing. This is fun and inspiring. The people are nice. The music is an older American form (pre Civil War) that lived on in the South and is enjoying a revival. Today I am going to work on the garden shed to get it converted to a playhouse for the grandkids, or for a weaving shed for me, if they're not interested. Anyway, these are new things involving new skills and I hope to add to them! I can't go back to life as it was before J's death so I am going to try to enjoy what I have left. I want to see this as an opportunity instead of some horrible fate thrust upon me. I don't want to be someone who is moaning about life forever. I long to see my darling, but I want to learn and grow in this time as he would want me to. I have some other ideas of things to try. I am approaching this as an experiment. I'll keep you posted.

Good for you. Each new thing you do will bring you more confidence and good feelings about yourself. We are left with the gift of life, and to waste it would be a shame. Hugs, Amy

Thanks, guys. I\'m sure the uops and downs won\'t cease. As for you, Lu Ann, you often say something that touches a cord in me. I think both of you are inspiring.

I love the Happy New Year. Some days, I want to cling to that old life and it tears me up to see it further behind, but we can\'t have that attitude. The past has to be the past. So many ways it is scary to take these new steps but they are good for us.
Hugs to you
