Happy New Year!
I've decided to start and make a new year of doing new things! Yesterday I went down to another city to a Sacred Harp sing. This is fun and inspiring. The people are nice. The music is an older American form (pre Civil War) that lived on in the South and is enjoying a revival. Today I am going to work on the garden shed to get it converted to a playhouse for the grandkids, or for a weaving shed for me, if they're not interested. Anyway, these are new things involving new skills and I hope to add to them! I can't go back to life as it was before J's death so I am going to try to enjoy what I have left. I want to see this as an opportunity instead of some horrible fate thrust upon me. I don't want to be someone who is moaning about life forever. I long to see my darling, but I want to learn and grow in this time as he would want me to. I have some other ideas of things to try. I am approaching this as an experiment. I'll keep you posted.
