Tired
I just got home. I told my boss today that I will be leaving in April. They may hold me to my contract. I don't know what I'll do if they do. Like most teachers I work evenings and weekends. Everyplace I went with my husband I had my laptop in my lap or a stack of paper with me. Now I don't care, I like my kids but I am really tired and feel so stressed, always trying to handle all the paper work of J's death, school work all day long, mowing season coming, a memorial to plan, sick 90+ year old father in law. I haven't even been able to find anyone reliable to let the dogs out during the day. The lady I was paying to do it was not doing it. Now I know those of you with young children have it a lot harder than I do. But I needed to vent. What do you think about leaving work before the school year is up?

I am a teacher also. I think that you have to do what is right for you now. Life is too short to be in a position where you are overwhelmed or unhappy. I think it is perfectly okay to leave if that is what you need to do. Good luck and hugs, Dawn
With everything you have going on I think you need to do what is best for you. I am so sorry you have to deal with the loss of your husband and all of this too. Hugs Lu Ann
I think maybe it would be a good idea for you to talk to your union rep or human resource contact about whether or not you can qualify under the Family and Medical Leave Act. You may be able to leave before your contract is up without them being able to hassle you over it. Just a thought....
