I forgot to write about watching the film, Another Year, a few days ago.
It made me think about my need to be a caretaker and my need to be cared for.  It reminded me that healthy relationships exist without the need for spectacle.  It reminded me that how one stays relatively sane depends on so many co-existing variables and that anyone is close to falling apart if self-preservation is not a strong enough instinct.
A real sensitive film that's as real as it gets.

I really want to see that film. I love Mike Leigh.
