Hi,

I haven't written a journal entry for awhile, I've joined in on discussions, but I haven't shared how scared I am about my new job and on the first day (today) of orientation things went wrong and I tried to turn to food.  The wrong food and now my stomach is killing me.  I don't adjust well to new things so transitioning from a nursing and rehab center to a big teaching hospital in Boston was a little overwhelming for me.  So how did I deal with it I ate 1/2 muffin and then some crackers.  All bad food for me.  I have a hard time trying to concentrate of food choices when I am having alot of anxiety.   I know that everything will eventually be okay, but right now I feel like crying.  Food choices aren't supposed to be hard for me, they are supposed to be second nature by now. I just proved I am failing miserably.  To have 2 operations and to overcome all the complications I think It is disgusting that I still tried to turn to food for comfort.  Has anyone else had this problem at some point.  Boy do I need encouragement.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for listening,

NAL
