I am new to this. I am a veterinarian who works hard. My career can be tough but rewarding. I enjoy a variety of intersts such history, science, current events, travel, movies, books, theatre, museums and more. Never been into sports. Not a church goer and not a drinker either. I am very open minded. I have no problem with others drinking (just be responsible I would say).
I am on here because I am lonely. I live near DC, Baltimore, Annapolis. Interesting part of the country. Good career. But I do not have many true friends. Those I have have little in common with me. I have never found romance.  Been pretty much alone over 20 years. Tough way to be.
I seem to be the one people want around when they need me. Need my help, my support, my leadership (head dr at work), expertise. But I am not one people are particularly interested in socially and certainly not romantically. Even though I am a leader at work, etc: with my interests not always being mainstream and being a nice guy, romance has eluded me. People seem more intersted in dating guys with a touch of bad boy than a hard working, honorable, nice guy.

Welcome, you have come to a good place... It is hard to find \"true\" friends, but when you do, it is very precious! Lorie
