This last week has been quite good for me. I've tried to get out more, see more friends and just be more active in general. After my assessment last week I decided I needed to do something. It went pretty well they decided I should see a new psychiatrist with a blank sheet and start all over again. The woman I seen was unsure if I'm bipolar 2 and thinks possibly I'm bipolar 1, that or just simply I need to change my medication to calm down on the mania a little. I got the choice of staying in for a few days or just going with the crisis team and being able to call any time day or night if I feel the way I have been just lately, so I went with them. I think the idea of being admitted to hospital scared me so much that I've decided to take charge of my life. So, since then I have been out shopping with a friend, I have been out for a meal and to the cinema. I also had my disability medical on Friday. That was really strange, I had to travel about 12/15 miles on a bus, they wouldn't pay for a taxi, and I did really struggle to get there. Once I was there I was expecting lots of tests, but instead I got half hour of questions followed by a few exercises to see just how little I can actually move my leg and how much the pain in my back affects me. Now they send all that off to the person that makes the decision along with the rest of my information, all the stuff from the different doctors etc, and I should hopefully hear from them in the next few weeks. I have physio today too. I'm quite nervous. Last week was so easy, just talking through the things we would be doing, what aids could help me in the long run etc. Today is the day we actually do something. I know that after an hour of that I'll be exhausted. Thankfully I don't have to pick my son up from school today and have until 6pm to just sit home and do what I like.
