I managed to walk from the front room door way to the kitchen!!! Not totally unaided, I used door frames and stuff but without crutches *does a little dance*
I remember when my dad started to walk backwards again. It was only across the kitchen, but it was a miracle. He never let the goal end there. A couple years later he tried to run across the kitchen. He reminded me of Forest Gump, but he did it.
He hobbles now, and refuses help usually except for a little push here and there.
Basically one leg is technically dead, and the other is half-dead. He refuses to let that stop him from walking, and it hasn\'t. The doctors are amazed every time they see him. They say he is medically impossible. he says it is because medicine is not what fixed him.. it is mind and spirit controlling the body.
You can do it... you know you will!
