Well I've had a funny few days. My son is ill so that's sort of stopped me doing much, not that I can do much right now with my one leg but hey you get the idea, anyway yesterday I finally managed to get in at my doctors. I got to see the doctor I like and everything, went and talked to her about my leg, how I'm feeling etc and asked for a new prescription only to be told my shrink has been prescribing meds that aren't licensed to use together. How great is that? So for the past few weeks I've been taking these meds and thinking Im going to get better and apparantly it's only going to make me worse and could have had really bad side effects, thankfully I'm ok and she let me decide which one of the two I preferred and let me stay on that. Also while I was there she did a quick tally on my depression score thing, only to discover that oh look I'm depressed, like i didn't know that already. She was really thorough and went through my past notes and then decided she couldn't give me more than a weeks medication. I just sat and stared at her, and then came her explanation. I have a history of self harm, I've tried suicide in the past and with everything that's going on I'm pretty low, so she's given me everything post dated week by week so I can't kill myself. Wtf? Surely if I really wanted to kill myself I can just go into any chemist and buy paracetamol???I got my physio appointment through today too. Now remember, I currently can't move or feel my left leg, I'm struggling on a day to day basis and the earliest appointment they can give me is JUNE!!! What am I supposed to do until then? Why is it that the nhs is so pants? I'm greatful for it I really am, I know lots of countries don't have free health care and it costs people thousands each month just to get medication they need but seriously 3 months when I can't walk?God I'm mad now
