Yesterday I touched Mr Dave Grohl.  My life is complete. Well not complete. Foo Fighters were one of the most amazing live acts I've seen in a while, something for everyone old and new.Tomorrow would have been my best friends 30th birthday. Sadly he isn't with us to celebrate so I'm gonna do it for him. I have it all planned, in the morning as usual I'll visit the cemetry, talk to him for an hour or so. I love being able to go and talk to him, even though he can't answer me back it makes me feel less troubled. After the cemetry I'm gonna go visit his son and take him out to dinner with my son, by dinner I mean McDonalds, after all he is only 11. Following that will be a night of drinking, yes I'm going to attempt to get drunk.I'm seeing a live band, one that I know he'd like, followed by the pub we frequented in our teens, the only one that let a 15 year old in, and on to our local rock club. I really hope they play Pearl Jam, he used to love Pearl Jam. Normally on b irthdays and anniversaries I feel sad, but I've finally after 10 years come to realise that I should be celebrating his life not feeling sad for the loss. RIP Chris - the best friend and confident I ever had xxx

One of my favourite songs is \'Given To Fly\' by Pearl Jam.It was released around the time I was really in a life or death place. It made me cry and elevated me too.
Your friend has a great view of you. From the stars.Your journal is moving and I am warmed by your words of heart.
Have a great and SAFE time.Attempting to get drunk is a noble yet unnecessary task.Have a great time though.
