God's Anvil, Day 3 The Lord works me like an obstinate pig iron rod at times. My session with the good pastor went well enough. I feel blessed to have people in my life who can reach beyond my words and get into my head. He knew when to listen and when to offer counsel. I have to admit to being a little concerned by his alarm at certain parts in my story. Was kind of hoping he had been there with other abused husbands. He asked if the wife might consider joining me for a session. Interesting thing when I asked her later that night: She said nothing, and the rest of the week was pretty much gladness and light. Even came to church with me on Sunday. It was after the service that the wheels fell off the wagon again, and she ended the latest tirade with the announcement that she won't be coming to my next session. I never actually had another session on the books. It was sort of a matter of whether anything could come of it. The pastor pretty much already heard my story, and wanted to see how she behaved under his scrutiny before referring us to a counseler. Looks like the latest storm is about to subside. Each day I provide a two-parent home for my boy is a victory, for now. We'll re-evaluate once he gets old enough to get a general sense of the dysfunction herein. GDAD

I also admire your faith, courage and love. Love is a powerful emotion that conquers all things! As a person dealing with major depression, I do understand how you feel, continue to have the consistency, security and the intimacy for your son and wife until things get better. That\'s very important for the healing to begin from my son\'s perspective that helped him to sustain the last three years, he is now 16 years old.
If you need someone to talk with that understands? I\'m a spirit filled christian woman that\'s dealing with major depression read my bio:)
