Still waiting....

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather and making plans for vacation. Just a general update about me..
I had a barium enema on the 1st to see if my J-pouch was healed enough to have the next surgery. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to bed, the worst part for me was the tube, it was like re-living having a rectal tube again! I waited about a week before I finally heard from my surgeon, she said that it's healing, but it hasn't healed completely and I need to wait 6-8 more weeks and go back and get the barium enema again. Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but surprisingly I really wasn't upset. I was a little disappointed, but I didn't see the need to get all upset over...So I have to wait some more, big deal. I did want to just get it over with so I could go back to work and move out of my parents house with my boyfriend because they are driving us crazy! But in the meantime, I've been going for long walks or speed walking to get more in shape and my energy back since I don't really do much during the day...I went to the beach for the day and got burnt in patches, not quite sure how that happend but it did. So for now I'm going to enjoy my summer as much I can. I've also looked into a few babysitting jobs, something 5 days a week, about 4 hours a day. It's something to get me out of the house and ease myself into something that is only a few hours rather then the 9-5 deal because just going out into gatherings makes me a little tired. This friday will be my first trip into NYC to enjoy myself with friends this time, not to Mt. Sinai! So I'm excited about that!
