Monday!

Ok, I am not excited that it is monday, I am tired and sore and I dont want to work, but I had a great wknd, and I am feeling really good. I paid some bills and still have outstanding debts but I put a little bit of money in savings for the first time in almost a year and left myself enough to get through the next 2 weeks.
It will be a tough two weeks I am sure, the urges will come up, but right now I am focused, and I have a plan, and I have a busy week with no time to waste.
The key I was thinking about was to not even entertain the thoughts, dont try and debate them with yourself, dont try and list the reasons why not to go because if you list the reasons then you start an internal argument process and that leaves the door open for debate and your mind can play tricks and you might lose out to your worse half. The last few times the thought came up, I just said "no" in my mind and dismissed it, with no further thought. Quickly move on to something else to occupy your mind and your time.

Alex - Sounds like a good plan. BUT, if you do find out that the thoughts keep coming up, I suggest you do nothing...let the thoughts come and just remind yourself that it\'s not you. Just be the \"listener\" and do not judge. Let the thoughts come and go...accept them. Realize it\'s not you. Eventually the thoughts will pass...focus on staying calm. I know it sounds hard but it is another way of dealing with them.
