GRRR

*Sigh* I don't know what's wrong with me, I've been on edge all day, in fact I've been on edge all week and I really don't have a good reason why. I've almost got 30 days and I'm worried cuz this is always when I fall. This will be the third longest I've had sober in 10 years, I know if I can just get over this hump I'll make it. I need to find more support, I've only been going to meetings once a week and that's just not cutting it. I finally made a sober friend which I am grateful for but I really need more people to hold me accountable and to help me get outta my head.

You are doing so well! I know how hard this is, how easy it is to become your own worst enemy. Just try your hardest to stay positive, no matter how edgy you get, there is always another day to wake up to, and people here who are just a message away to give their support. You are doing good, be proud of yourself!!

That edginess is something I remember really well, especially in my early days (about 17 months ago). And occasionally even now it reappears, but I can tell you for a fact that it becomes less and less frequent. The main thing, as everybody else here has said, is just to keep on holding tight. I read something once which I try to remember in the hard times... \"When you feel like quitting, just remember why you\'ve hung on so hard for so long\". I was drinking non-stop for over 20 years. The longest I ever went before this time was 6 months. And I made the mistake then of thinking \"Just one won\'t hurt - it\'s been 6 months\". 5 years later I finally stopped drinking again. And here I am at 17 months. You are doing really well, and everything you are experiencing is normal. But don\'t let the drinking win. You will be the winner out of this, not the drink. You are the one in control
