We had a turbulent ocean today - lots of very loud crashing waves. I love it when it is like this. The wind was howling while we were walking along that area - it was gorgeous. Heinze found no gophers but it wasn't for the lack of trying - bless his heart - he dug holes everywhere to no avail. Did I ever mention that we have deer wandering around here? We do. Some people here refer to them as large rodents - because they eat everything in sight and they have fleas. I find them a little too sweet looking to refer to them as rats. Like this little guy. I've uploaded some very pretty sunsets that I have taken pictures of over the past few days if you want to please take a look - there is one of Chloe too - she is growing up and I haven't even rocked her in a rocking chair yet - I have to get on that.. You know how some things take your breath away? Bright colors - sunsets - deep blue oceans - green rolling hills - bright flowers - strong horses galloping - they take my breath away but only if I pay attention. It is time to pay attention. You all take care. lj

That was beautiful, thank you for sharing. I have always looked to the sky as my serenity source, even on cloudy days I could appreciate it. I love that it is constantly changing, therefore I could always look up there to feel peace. I love a running creek, or looking at a snowy mountain top in Colorado. Then sometimes I could just really enjoy watching one of my cats clean themselves.
I want to thank you for reminding me of life\'s little beauties.
What, do you live on a nature preserve???? lol
Almost Eric:) This is amazing country.
Enjoyed your pictures very much, and Chloe is a little beauty....
Never heard deer referred to as \'rats\' before......they are awfully pretty and delicate looking....
Never realized they had fleas, either, but then, that would make sense......wonder if cows have them? Never heard of any around here having them, and have never heard of any of the hunters talking about fleas......
Will ask my SiL -- her youngest is a big time \'hunter\'..........;-)
Yes, God\'s Painting was very evident in your pictures..
Poor Heinz......looking for those gophers....that\'s soooooo cute when you tell us that....:)
xoxoxoxo
Ah - thank you - You\'ve heard of Lime Disease - Deer Ticks carry Lime Disease - and where you have ticks you have fleas - they kind of go hand in hand.....yep they have \'em. And they do refer to them as large rodents around here - I find them too sweet to see them that way:)
Linda, your descriptions of the beautiful nature, is amazing! even though the ocean and wind is sometimes fierce, it\'s fierce in a calm, and relaxing ,and even peaceful way. It brings us peace, relaxation, and calmness, with the beautiful view. Thank you so very much, for bringing us there with you, and giving us a view, through your writing, and through your eyes (the amazing picture of the water) :)
