While watching Bama's video's of her kittens - beautiful kittens - I recalled a little puppy that was born to a Maltese that John gave me for my birthday many years ago. His name was Casey and I did not give Casey away because he was afraid of everything except women's ankles - don't ask - but he would assault any woman who's ankles showed.  However, he was deathly afraid of everything else and stayed in my lap almost 24/7 for the first year.    He was funny in two ways - other than the ankle thing - (1)  He'd be with the other puppies tumbling and playing, having a good time, and seemingly get a sudden bright idea - and shoot off into another room all by himself - and stay there.  We never knew why.  (2)  In his first six months we never heard him bark.  One morning I was playing with the puppies and he got mad at one who wanted to get in my lap, so he barked at the puppy - and was so frightened of himself that he darted under the bed and wouldn't come out for a good 30 minutes.  John and I loved those puppies.

Haha, I LOVE this! Wow, whoever thought animals could be just as intriguing, if not more, than us humans! I think I need to get myself a pet of some sort. :)
