Ok- I am a bit neurotic which will proably not change in this lifetime. . While the nonsense about my house is absolutely true and real - I go in and out of being terribly upset about it (my neurosis). This is a step by step process - I have gotten through about 75% of the process and it is soon coming to a conclusion. The fun part is that people are falling all over their own stories - and I do love watching that. The following describes some of that: I built a 3 foot retaining wall on the land I was told I did not own after I bought and paid for it. A letter I received from the county stated that my 3 foot wall was on their land (which wasn't their land 9 months ago). Then I received a county citation claiming that the same 3 foot wall was POSSIBLY on RP property (residential property) - which is true but it is MY residential property - so I get a citation?. The plan was only half baked at this juncture, it seems.. When I refused to accomodate the county's inappropriate demands, the 95 year-old lady next door, who has lived here forever, and who stands to profit a great deal from using my land, wrote me a letter demanding that I remove the same 3 foot wall from HER land IMMEDIATELY!! I sent all parties a letter, along with a copy of the California Penal Codes that describe the claims, made by these parties, as being pursuant to criminal activity - i.e. conversion of property. I have not heard one more word from the county or from the 95 year-old neighbor since I wrote that letter. YES!!!I have the maps that prove the sellers removed a portion of my property 4 months AFTER my escrow closed - that's against the law - the county knows that - the old lady knows that - the former owner knows that. What a crowd!! Who the hell do they think they are????? And how stupid do I look? Apparently very stupid. An engineer from the county called me and tried to convince me I was wrong about the size of my property -- however, I have been lied to by pros - and he was not a pro liar. He even sent me maps that conflict with his statements - AND these maps actually conflict with each other - AND they conflict with the county's data from other departments concerning my property. This guy did not bother to even read the information he was relying upon to convince me of a lie - and they say you can't fight city hall.........So - I'm coming to the last round on this situation - and I do thank you guys for cheering me on over the past few months. It has been a lengthy process - but when you are not sure what happened and have no one who is willing to be honest - it takes time. I mean - who would believe that a government representative would deceive soneone - just for a little - oh who knows - pocket money? Amazing.......Ok - you guys do not know how much you have helped. I was spinning downwards around all of this before I came to DS - so many lies and so much doubt and fear was setting in. There was a point I may have just let go of the property - thanks so much for helping me get back on track.
