Since the information that I am posting in my journal sounds a little hard to believe - I am also posting some exerpts from a book written by a former FBI senior attorney, David W. Marston.There is a book entitled "Malice Aforethought", written by David W. Marston, a senior attorney that worked for the FBI and then went into private practice. He begins his book by describing several different hideous crimes that involve millions of dollars in drug trafficing, home invasions, murder, embezzeling hundreds of thousands of dollars from client accounts and many other crimes. These crimes are merely examples of ongoing criminal activity in this organization. He states that "They live by their own rules and have fiercely resisted efforts by outsiders to penetrate their clan. They have a code of silence that makes the Mafia's dreaded "ometra" seem gossipy.......In every state, the organization has tentacles that reach into the legislature, as well as intimate knowledge of the local criminal justice system......It's not the Mafia. Not the Medellin drug cartel, or some shadowy Chinese tong. The members are all lawyers and the organization is the American legal profession."EXAMPLES of criminal activity of lawyers described by Marston."In Washington, D.C., a man named Fortunato Mendes is charged with distributing cocaine, not usually a free-lance activity at the street level. Before his drug case comes to trial, he also is charged with murder." "In Chicago, a former fashion model tells the grand jury that she has been the mistress of a man named Michael Guinan and describes his lavish gits to her. A short time later, in a late-night panic, she calls former U.S. Congressman Barry Goldwater, Jr., a close friend, and says she is frightened about cooperating in the probe of Guinan. No one has seen her since." "In Chicago, an FBI dragnet snags nearly four dozen members in a major corruption probe; they are convicted of bribing fifteen city judges."Marston details another crime by describing the facts regarding an attorney (Mostman) who hires a hit man to kill one of his business competetors. He states "neither the state disciplinary board nor the California Supreme Court was sufficiently shocked by his (Mostman) actions to toss him out of the law business permanently."  The most shocking aspect of this was, as Marston states - "Paul Mostman was a lawyer. THE PERSON HE WAS TRYING TO KILL WAS HIS CLIENT." The Supreme Court of the State of California ruled that his punishment was a mere 2 years suspension from the practice of law. Marston uses this, along with several other examples of crime, to reinforce the fact that attorneys, in this country, have gone well beyond merely backdating documents and jiggling client's accounts - they have moved on to major crime, according to Marston.Clearly - one should be very careful in choosing a lawyer:) There are numerous other examples in this book that make it very clear - lawyers in the United States are free to ravage the assets and the lives of people without worry as to any punishment. I will slowly but surely list these circumstances. People really need to know this to save themselves a lot of grief with lawyers. I have always wanted to write a book on how people should protect themselves from lawyers scum-sucking antics. But this is also a good forum - who knows - maybe I can help people in this area after all.In 1995 I discovered that my husband's partner had taken out loans on properties that had been transferred to me for the purposes of settling the lawsuit I had filed against him - he did this AFTER the settlement and transfer. I referred the matter to the District Attorney's office because they had a website that had warnings of fraud re: real estate fraud that described this incident precisely. I received a phone call from the DA and was told that the matter had been turned over to an assistant DA and I would be contacted. I was contacted by an assistant DA who told me that it was impossible for this partner to have done this. Mind you - it was exactly what they had described on their own website and I had the back up on the loans in black and white - from the Secretary of State's office. This woman told me there was nothing they could do. I did not know my rights very well at that time - but I know them now.This partner has continued to take everyting he can get his hands on - unless I discover his activity in time to stop him. He keeps doing the same thing over and over - so identifying his actions is getting easier and easier. The problem is that documents disappear so it is difficult to put the facts together, after the fact, at times. But I am not going to let him steam roller over me. I would be very disappointed in myself if I allowed that.I will survive.
