I feel free. Free from that nagging grief that pained me to the point of numbness. I can no longer shed tears for his death because I know he accepted death. He was tired of fighting, ready to rest & I cannot mourn him for that. While comforting my grandmother this past week I slept in the very same bed that my grandfather passed away in. Only at first did it feel weird, but I could still sense him in the house. Every time I smelled his cologne, I knew he was next to me, but every time I smelled it, I just had an overwhelming feeling of peace. not pain, nor regret, but peace. Just because I dont cry for him anymore doesnt mean I miss him any less, or love him any less, but I think it means that, he's ok with what happened, so I should be too. Send me lots of love... I still need it. Thanks for reading all of thisĀ

I\'m sorry for your loss. I know nothing of your life but hugs to you. We lost my FIL earlier in the year to a long battle w/cancer. I wish I could feel peace like you. I\'m glad to not see him suffering but I wish he were here. The grief my hubby is going thru is so hard for me b/c i don\'t know how to make him feel better. He loved him so much! and misses him.

I\'m glad to hear you\'re at peace. That\'s really wonderful.

here is lots and lots of love, I know, I have lost loved ones before, and grief comes in waves, but the waves do get smaller and smaller over time, the pain gets less intense, but your love remains the same....xxxooo
