I stopped the Rebiff about two weeks ago in preparation for beginning Tysabri.  At first it was wonderful being free of the side effects.  But it seems as though the MonSter has rallied.  My executive function has never been this impared !  For the past several years I have experienced insomnia that defies description. But for the last two days I have remained in bed !  I must've been there 18 hours yesterday !  Bladder. bowel, and walking seem uneffected.  I don't think it's a relapse, at least not yet.  My brain is in such a fog !  I know as soon as I send this, I'll go back to bed.  Again.  uhg !  I'm not at all good at this journal stuff.  Basically you have to remember that it's there.I've been trying to read a book.  I'm in the middle.  But lately I can only read at most a few paragraphs.  I'm beginning to ramble.  It seems like it's been a week since I actually did anything.  I forget what it's called, but my ability to carry out a plan has completely vanished.  The need to lie down passed for the moment, so I may write further.   Ah ha !  I just made a plan, and carried it through !  I just added a signature to the bottom of this post !  Hey, it's a start !  As it dawns on me that I'm using a lot of exclamation points.  Something that occurred to me earlier is that today has been like a post-shot day.  Even the clear fulid pouring from my nose !  But I haven't had a shot in over a week.  More MS weirdness.Daily I tilt [joust with] the MonSter.PS  ya noe sumptin ?  Just typing this has made me feel better.  I just changed the "I'm feeling smilie" from red to orange.

Hey there FichenDich, it\'s been a while.

It\'s the roller coaster Fichendich. I wish I could read more than a few paragraphs myself. Having only one eye working well tends to hamper the ability to follow which line I am on, it really sucks.
The insomnia sucks too, many of us have the inability to sleep or sleep well; it really messes with the mind.
I am not familiar with Tysabri but, I\'m guess it\'s a preventative like the Avonex I currently take. That stuff is a self administered intramuscular injection but, I can only manage to inject myself every other week. The nurses station gives it to me when I cant. The more I think about the length of that damn needle the less likely I am to give myself the shot, that really sucks too! I feel as if I am going to hit the bone.
Not everything sucks though, just seems that way at times.
Hope this new med works out for you and lets you get the good sleep that you need; makes all the difference in the world. Two hour cat naps dont cut it!
Take it easy and be well.

To be able to read more like I used to would be such an achievement now!! So irritating to only be able to read a few paragraphs, thennot be able to remember what you\'ve just read.
This journalling is meant to help, I find it does especially when comments are added for us, so we know we are being thought about by our Friends.
I\'m not familiar with either of these meds, I don\'t take anything but pain meds and an anti-spasmodic at the moment. Giving yourseld jabs isn\'t fun at all and I do feel for you both. This is such a weird condition, makes my head spin trying to read about it. Take care, hugs, Owlxxxx
