TGIF!!!

Hello all.  Didn't post yesterday because I was feeling pretty down.  I took my kitty to the vet because I had felt a knot on her side, and they did xrays and found that she has a very large mass in her abdomen.  More than likely cancer, but that can't be determined unless they do a biopsy.  The vet gave her some antibiotics and antiinflamatory medicine, saying that sometimes it can shrink the tumor some. My Anna is 17 years old, and surgery for her is not really and option.  She doesn't seem to be in any pain right now tho, so the vet and I discussed it and agree that as long as she has some quality of life to just try and make sure she is comfy, love her and let her go when the time comes.  I know many of you have a lot bigger problems, but my cat is part of our family and I don't want to lose her.
Still not had a drink, day 23.  My husband is on day 5 and doing well.  Hope you all have a tolerable weekend. Bye for now.
