Friday!

I used to look forward to Fridays. The start of the weekend and we would work on our "projects" talk, laugh, and tease each other. Friday was our movie night, I used to look forward to it. I know Abby did to and I know that she was disappointed those last few months when I just couldn't do it. I was so tired, I'd come home and clean for an hour or more. The kitchen would look like a troop of monkeys had been turned loose. Then I had to make our dinners, I'd make anything that she said she wanted, anything to get her to eat. Then I'd clean up the dinner dishes, set things up for the morning and collapse into bed. She asked several times about watching a movie and I was so tired. I feel bad about that. Taking care of Abby those months wore me out. One of our "friends?" said I looked years older near the end. Some friend huh?
Had to swing by the lawyer's after work to pick up some papers for Abby's sister. She's coming for the weekend, mostly to claim anything that belonged to their parents. Got home late, ate late, to tired for a movie tonight.
Weekends are tough, this weekend will be busy I"m sure. Likely to try my patience though. I promised Abby I wouldn't fight with her sister after she was gone but . . .
well, I'll try. She's SO annoying.

I\'ll be thinking about you this weekend. In-laws are not always the easiest to get along with, especially after our spouses aren\'t here to act as a buffer. My husband bought the DVD series of Route 66, and on Friday nights we would watch an espisode. He said that\'s when he remembered it played. I miss spending Sundays with him, since I have always worked on Sat. Hope things start looking better for you and you get some rest.

Just remember you\'re on your own don\'t let them run over you I\'ve been through this twice you only do what you are totally comfortable with and don\'t be afraid to say you need more time it\'s your call.

How I know about Friday nights! That was always our date night - dinner, maybe a movie and Jim would always ask, around 9:00 pm, \"What\'s our toddy?\" We weren\'t big drinkers but on a Friday night we would share some wine, or a cocktail and lean into the weekend. sigh.
Hang in there and like Rebelgirl said, don\'t let anyone run you over. It is your home and your decision on who to let in. Good Luck!
Blessings,
Linda

Boy do I understand the part about being tired. I was Rodgers care giver for 3 months and I don\'t know how I managed to get things done that had to be done. I certainly did not have time for anything but the basics. i also feel guilty about it now but I think everyone feels guilty about something. It is part of the process. As far as your sister-in-law is concerned stand your ground but remember she is grieving too.
